A noteworthy event
Last Saturday, Becky Barca-Tinus's string students gave a concert at the Old Whaling Church. The enthusiastic and appreciative crowd was treated to classical and gospel, waltzes and duets. The students performed with an air of professionalism during the occasional baby's cry and flashing cameras, and dressed the part in black and white.
Casting call
The Island Theatre Workshop (ITW) announces auditions for their upcoming comedy, "The Rainmaker," by Richard Nash and directed by Taffy McCarthy. Six male roles from ages 16 to 80 are available. Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6, from 2 to 4 pm at the First Congregational Church of West Tisbury. Scripts will be provided. The play will be presented in late May at the Katherine Cornell Theatre. For more information, call 508-693-6715.
