Andrew Fleming "Andy" Steele died in Falmouth on April 30.

Andy is survived by his wife of 52 years Albertha Youker Steele of Chilmark; his two daughters, Susan Steele of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Abbie-Ann Steele of Chilmark; his three granddaughters, Esther Graves of Monclova, Ohio, Susan Papenfuss of Maumee, Ohio, and Eve Robinson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and his three great-granddaughters, Meghan, Rebecca and Kristine Graves.

Immediate family members who predeceased Andy are his first wife, Doris Stone Steele, of Larchmont, N.Y.; his eldest daughter, Margaret Johnson of Endwell, N.Y.; and his two brothers, John Steele of Williamstown, and Lt. Col. William Steele of New Orleans, La.

After he retired from his 43-year career as an accountant for Exxon, Andy and Bert Steele chose to move permanently to their favorite location, Martha's Vineyard. They have lived in Chilmark since then.

A memorial service was held at the First Congregational Church of West Tisbury on Saturday, May 17.
