Party with a bang
Oak Bluffs took on a festive mood Saturday. The daylong celebration began with the 17th annual HarborFest with activities clustered around the waterfront.
The harbor front was packed with strollers checking out the artisans, vendors, and performances from The Jon Bates Band and Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish.
Later that day the focus shifted to Circuit Avenue and the Summer Solstice Festival. The main drag was closed off and people strolled among street performers and outdoor diners.
The party ended with a colorful fireworks display over the water and watched by a crowd of people gathered on Ocean Park.
The day of activities was planned and sponsored by the Oak Bluffs Association.
