Obituary : Anne M. Baldwin
Anne M. "Candy" Baldwin, 53, died on Wednesday, July 16, following a courageous 16-year battle with breast cancer. She was born in Rupert, Vt. on Jan. 4, 1955, the daughter of the late William and Gwendolyn Bauer Baldwin.
She attended High School in Rye, N.Y. and graduated cum laude from Merrimack College in North Andover. She moved to Clifton Park, N.Y., from Westchester County in 1986 and was employed by County Waste as the office manager and administrative assistant to the owner, Scott Earl. A key person in the company's growth over the years, she will be sorely missed. Ms. Baldwin will be remembered by many for her vibrant fashion designs and her home decorating skills.
She is survived by her loving companion, Scott Earl of Rexford, N.Y.; two nephews, Tobias W. Wolf of Manhattan and Michael J. Wolf of San Diego, Calif. She is also survived by many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gwendolyn B. Wolf and family friend, Leopold Hudson.
Many thanks to New York Oncology and Hematology, Dr. Pipito, and the wonderful and helpful nursing staff, for the care and attention given to Anne over the past 16 years. Thanks also to Hospice of Martha's Vineyard and to those who chose to spend her last days by her side.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, July 19, in St. Edward the Confessor Church, in N.Y. Interment followed in the Jonesville Cemetery in Jonesville, N.Y.
