Carolyn "Chick" Dowd and Tyler Stapleton announce their engagement. Chick is the daughter of Gerard Dowd and the late Cheryl Dowd of Oak Bluffs. Tyler is the son of Margo Stapleton and the late David Stapleton of Middletown, R.I. A Sept. 20, 2008 wedding is planned in Chilmark.
