Austin C. Morley, 70, of Edgartown died on March 29 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after an extended illness.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Austin and Svea (Idman) Morley. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy in the late 1950s.
He was a plumber with Galley Plumbing and Heating before he retired.
He was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast. He loved watching his grandson’s hockey and baseball games.
He is survived by two sons, David L. Morley and his wife, Jennifer, of Beverly Farms, and Christopher A. Morley of Oak Bluffs; two grandsons, Austin D. Morley of Oak Bluffs and Matthew D. Morley of Beverly Farms. He is also survived by his fomer wife, Patricia J (Lee) Morley of Manchester-by-the Sea, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ellen Fialho.
