Paul “Red” Yelle, age 64, died suddenly on May 5 after a brief period of failing health. Red was born in Taunton to his late parents Frederick & Jacqueline (Lamothe) Yelle. He resided in Edgartown since the 1980s and was formerly of Taunton. Red enjoyed shellfishing, had an interest in keeping current with technology, and loved his two dogs. Red leaves his son Benjamin Yelle of Spofford, N.H. He also leaves siblings, Jacqueline “Lynn” Lombardi of Taunton, Robert Yelle of Methuen, and James Yelle of Georgia; Red was predeceased by another sibling, the late John “Jay” Yelle. Red also leaves many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life memorial service was held on Monday, May 10 at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Burial will be private at the request of the family.
