To the Editor:
We were not there, but hope the MVRHS graduation on Sunday went beautifully, including the Brazilian scarves, Wampanoag insignia, and whatever garb would bring happiness to the graduating class.
We did go downtown that afternoon to buy food, and when I returned to our car my husband had brought over a young woman to meet me from a nearby shop. A native of Mongolia, she is a college student in Bulgaria, working here this summer. Friends of ours who have spent considerable time in the Far East were parked nearby and pleased to meet and speak with her as well.
We are retirees grateful to live peacefully in a place populated with natives of many other countries, working or visiting.
