Cup fever at Coop de Ville

Saturday afternoon at 2:30 was holy hour for soccer nuts around the Island, and around the nation, as the U.S. faced Ghana in the Round of 16 at the World Cup in South Africa. Many fans crowded into Coop de Ville in Oak Bluffs to watch the game and cheer on the U.S. Chef Tony Somoeis satisifed the hungry with wings, seafood treats, and steak tips, while Garry Metters wetted down the thirsty.

The result, a 2-1 loss, was crushing, considering the high excitement before and during the match — until the final whistle.
