To the Editor:
The West Tisbury Parks and Recreation Committee should be commended for their professionalism and wisdom in amicably resolving a potentially inflammatory dog-related problem at Lambert’s Cove Beach. Their willingness to work cooperatively with dog owners is exemplary of good government in action. Joni Jenkinson should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for her outstanding efforts in mitigating potentially volatile dog and dog owner issues.
My sincere thanks to all participants for honoring the magnanimous West Tisbury tradition of allowing Islanders and visitors the privilege of walking their dogs on the most beautiful beach in the world.
