The Martha’s Vineyard Women’s Network’s first meeting of the year is Tuesday, Oct. 5, and will be a panel discussion on Branding Success. Panelists will be led by Carol Kolodny of Kolodny Dorr Media, who has been well-known on the Island since 1978 in helping companies with branding. Other participants are Cristin McGuinn, a license executive for Vineyard Vines; J.B. Blau, owner of Sharky’s Cantina; Paola Fuller, owner of Menemsha Blues; and Sue Dawson, co-owner of Alison Shaw Gallery.
Panelists will discuss their experience with creating an image for their respective companies — what worked, and what did not. They will also offer practical and professional advice for both new and established businesses.
The lunch meeting, sponsored by Vineyard Stories and open to both men and women, is from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, and includes a light lunch. Registration begins at 11:30 am, and the program at 12 noon. Admission is $25 after 2 pm on October 4; $15 for members before Oct. 4 at 2 pm. Membership is $110, and can be done online at mvwomensnetwork.org.
