The eighth annual Popcorn Festival at Native Earth Teaching Farm is this Saturday, followed by the farm’s first fundraising Pig Roast. From 10 am to 3 pm, the farm will be transformed to a haven of fun for kids — with plant dying with natural dyes, animal visits, Capoeira demonstrations, cider pressing, and free popcorn. At 5 pm, enjoy a classic organic country-cooked pig. Tickets are $75, but owner Rebecca Gilbert is quick to point out that bartering is welcome, and helpers get big discounts.
