Field hockey girls tie with Bridgewater

The Vineyard field hockey team edged closer to nailing a post-season playoff berth, Friday, but could not find the necessary goal to defeat visiting West Bridgewater. When the whistle blew signaling game’s end, the score was tied, 1-1. The Islanders’ goal was by Alicia Oliveira off a corner in the first half.

Tuesday the Islanders were shut out by Nauset, 2-0 to go 6-4-3 on the season.

Taylor Sheehan, the Warrior goalie, made 21 saves.
