Martha’s Vineyard Food and Wine Festival schedule


The fourth annual Martha’s Vineyard Food and Wine Festival starts tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 15, and continues through Saturday, Oct. 16, with a variety of events. Many smaller events are centered around Saturday afternoon’s Grand Tasting, that features wines from around the world, and local, organic dishes from around the Island and throughout New England.

Friday, Oct. 15

Pre-Opening Reception Party 4:30 pm, Eisenhauer Gallery. Hosted by The Liberty Hotel in Boston. Free.

Opening Reception 7 pm, The Field Club. BBQ from chef Andy Husbands with additional food provided by The Boathouse Restaurant and Bravo’s Top Chef Dave Martin. Wine from Joseph Carr Wine. Music by Sultans of Swing. $125.

Saturday, Oct. 16

Sake 101 and Food Pairing with o ya, Boston 11 am, The Boathouse Club. $40.

Sweet Petites Tour the World 11 am, The Field Club. Tickets sold out.

Port 101: Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Port But Were Afraid to Ask 11 am, The Kelley House. With Dan Carbon. $35.

Whine 101: Taking the Whine Out of Food and Wine Pairings 11 am, The Winnetu. Tickets sold out.

Instructional Cooking Class with Andy Husbands 12 noon, The Winnetu. Tickets sold out.

Grand Tasting 2–5 pm, The Field Club. Fall harvest celebration with wines from around the world and foods prepared by chefs from M.V. and New England. Demos, cookbook signing. $100; $50 for Island residents.
