Well over 200 people attended ACE MV’s first annual Cultural Festival at Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School on Friday evening.
Attendees sampled food from a variety of foreign cuisines in the cafeteria, then shopped and learned about nonprofit organizations working abroad at more than a dozen vendors and displays along the hallways on the way to the Performing Arts Center. A silent auction in the PAC foyer drew the attention of both bargain hunters and philanthropists.
Live performances were offered up by Dan Waters and Jemima James, Nina Violet, M.V. Capoeira, Black Brook Singers, Martha’s Vineyard — Now & Zen, Nightmares and Dreams Immigrant Voices, and Vineyard Bellydance.
Lynn Ditchfield led the ACE MV Fundraising Committee that organized the event, ably assisted by Sterling Bishop, Shari Geistfeld, Susan Stane, and Jannette Vanderhoop.
