Martha’s Vineyard Women’s Network hosts Farm to Market panel

The Martha’s Vineyard Women’s Network will look at the importance of local foods on the Island this Monday, Nov. 1 with speakers Rebecca Miller of North Tabor Farm, Sarah McKay of Cronig’s Markets, Wenonah Madison and Dan Sauer of 7a Farm, and a representative from Whole Foods. Ali Berlow, founder of Island Grown Initiative (IGI) and publisher of Edible Vineyard, will moderate the panel.

Open to both men and women, the program, which will focus on business planning and market opportunities for locally grown food, is from 6 to 8 pm at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury. Light local food will be served, and the event is co-sponsored by the Women’s Network and IGI. Admission is $10; pre-register by visiting mvwomensnetwork.org.
