New exhibit at Treehouse Gallery

The Treehouse Gallery in West Tisbury is currently showing paintings by Claudio Gasparini, an artist from Venice, Italy, who has lived seasonally on the Island since 1984.

Part of a private collection, the paintings show rich color and vibrancy, typical of many post-impressionist European artists. Included in the current exhibition are scenes from Italy, as well as colorful rooster paintings, and still-life compositions. Mr. Gasparini’s paintings will be shown at the gallery through the holidays.

Also at the Treehouse is a two-day exhibition of handcrafted jewelry by designer Linda Talbot on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 26 and 27. Ms. Talbot makes her one-of-a-kind pieces with wampum, recycled materials, and rare porcelain.

Treehouse Studios, directed by Ruth Adams, is located at 472 State Road in West Tisbury, and is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, and by appointment. For more information, call 508-693-6645.
