The first place team was the Edgartown Firemen's Association, represented by Chris Hargy, left, and Tim Klein.

The second annual Wingfest, held Saturday, Nov. 13 at Sharky’s Cantina in Edgartown, raised about $7,500 for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys and Girls Club, 50 percent more than last year’s fest, according to JB Blau, owner of Sharky’s.

For the second year in a row, the Edgartown Firemen’s Association won first place, by one vote, for best wing over the Oak Bluffs EMS and Fire Department team. Edgartown also won best booth — a new category this year — by two votes, beating Oak Bluffs again.
