The Martha’s Vineyard Rod and Gun Club will host its annual fall shotgun shoot Sunday beginning at 10 am. The shoot provides a warmup to the two-week deer shotgun season that begins on Monday, Nov. 29.

Competitive events include shooting at a deer target set at 50 yards, shooting at an egg hanging on a string at 50 yards and a five target over the shoulder trap shoot. The best score in the standing deer target and trap shoot determine the “top gun” champ.

The competition is open to members and nonmembers. There is a small entry fee and spectators are welcome.

The club is located at the end of Third Street in Edgartown off the Vineyard Haven-Edgartown Road.
