Crop Walk to the Y

On Friday, November 19, at the Federated Church in Edgartown, the five people who raised the money for last month's CROP Walk were presented certificates to the YMCA to be used towards programs or membership.
Above, from left, are Alden Besse, co-coordinator of the walk; CROP walk participants Galen Mayhew, Lila Sullivan, and Cal Fiore; and Nina Lombardi, YMCA Membership Director. Ms. Sullivan raised $235.61, the top prize for participants under the age of 18, followed by Ms. Mayhew. Other winners were Rosemarie Doane (not pictured) of the First Congregational Church who raised $2,180, and Tom Hiller (not pictured). According to Reverend Besse, more than $18,000 was raised at this year's CROP Walk.
