Early Sunday morning Raymond, New Hampshire police officer Ryan Lehman responded to a report of a car crash off Route 101.

He saw a glow in the woods and ran to the location, according to news reports. With just seconds to spare, officer Lehman pulled a 21-year-old soldier home on leave from overseas deployment out of the car before flames engulfed it.

Mr. Lehman is a former Oak Bluffs seasonal police officer, and the son of Chuck and Brenda Lehman of Oak Bluffs.
