Tim Boland, executive director of the Polly Hill Arboretum, has been awarded a Chanticleer Scholarship for a professional development course called Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders at the Center for Social Innovation at Stanford University in March.
The intensive two-week program is intended to help Mr. Boland prepare for the next phase of the Arboretum's institutional growth, focusing on the integration of the Arboretum's organizational mission with economic strategy, while also providing extensive training in strategic planning and personnel management.
The Chanticleer Scholarship, offered by Chanticleer Gardens in Wayne, Penn., provides professional development opportunities for public garden staff.
