Nature fills the green thumb void

Arriving on the Vineyard some 13 years ago, I was thrilled to have a yard of my own to garden in, for the first time in my life.

Thanks, and a reminder

The purpose of this letter is to show my appreciation for the protection of open spaces, the maintenance of wildlife habitats, and the beautiful setting that has been established on our small Island.

Soggy Alley Park

Contractors worked over the past two weeks to repair a longstanding drainage problem in Alley Park (formerly known as Waban Park).

Chilmark

May is only days away.

West Tisbury

Leaves have appeared overnight.

Edgartown

The buds are on the oak trees, which means everything is probably already green in Vineyard Haven.

Oak Bluffs

Our town is looking brand new with all the activity going on around Circuit Avenue and in front of the Steamship Authority wharf.

Wampanoag Spring Social

About 150 members of the Wampanoag Tribe of Aquinnah and their guests gathered at the tribal headquarters for a spring social featuring food, music, and the arts.

WVVY’s Air Fair a hit

What began as a daytime trade show evolved in to an all-night dance party with local musicians and DJ's entertaining guests at WVVY's Air Fair last Saturday, April 24.

Holga Heaven photography show at Featherstone

Weeks ago, several young art students were given inexpensive plastic cameras, called Holgas, and an assignment to take one roll of pictures per week.
