Last Thursday, the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School girls varsity basketball team played host to the Wayland Warriors and treated them to a 52-37 whippin’.
At the end of the third quarter the Vineyarders were losing by a single point, 29-28. The Islanders outscored the visitors 24-8 in the final quarter.
Jillian Sedlier was MV high scorer with 17 points. Jennie Lindland contributed 14 and co-captain Alicia Oliveira chipped in eight more. Crystal Miske warmed to the task in the final quarter scoring all of her 7 points. It was the Islanders second win.
