High school musicians sing, play at festival

Five student musicians from the regional high school participated in the Southeast District Music Festival held at Duxbury High School over the weekend.

After auditions and two days of rehearsals, Sidra Dumont, Emily Lowe, Toby Riseborough (all seniors) and Taylor MacNeely (sophomore) sang with the 200-plus-voice chorus, while freshman Sarah Ortlip-Sommers played violin with the orchestra.

Sidra, Toby, and Sarah were also chosen to audition for the All-State Festival, to be held at Symphony Hall in March.
