Having already hosted several Film Series throughout the winter, the Edgartown Library continues with its I Like Spike! Spike Lee Retrospective. Two films will be shown this Sunday, Feb. 27, by the seasonal Oak Bluffs resident. At 1 pm, see “Inside Man,” a 2006 film starring Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, and Jodie Foster. At 3:30 pm, see “25th Hour,” starring Edward Norton and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The series is free, and a light lunch is served. For more information, call the library at 508-627-4221.
Report from Haiti
This coming Tuesday, March 1, two Islanders just returned from Haiti will give a talk about what’s going on in Port-au-Prince. Harvey Beth and Jeanne Staples will show a slideshow, discuss the progress being made, and give an update on the PeaceQuilt project. Most recently, Macy’s Department Store commissioned several items from PeaceQuilt for their Heart of Haiti special.

Summer camp’s just around the corner…
Since it will be here quicker than we think, Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary announces registration is open for its Fern and Feather Summer Camp. For more than 40 years, Felix Neck has hosted camp for all ages to explore the 350-acre sanctuary. Yogis in training
Island yoga instructor and business owner Sherry Sidoti, of FLY Yoga, announces the first 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Teacher training, this coming May 19 through 29 and September 14 through 24.
Led by Ms. Sidoti and guests, the class will cover more than a dozen topics, such as yoga philosophy, breath work, specialized yoga, and business.
“Teaching yoga is a deep journey that asks of us to cultivate a great deal of self-study, compassion, wisdom, skill, and love for what we do,” Ms. Sidoti said in a press release. “This training is for all interested in diving into the teachings of yoga — whether you want to expand your understanding and deepen your practice only, or you plan on teaching yoga someday.”
Sessions are $1,375; early bird rates are $1,250 if paid by April 1 for the first session, Aug. 1 for the second session.

Certified herbalist Holly Bellebuono, of Chilmark, recently began a series of classes exploring herbal healing for a variety of health issues. The class meets every Wednesday through April 13 at Island Co-Housing in West Tisbury, and topics include Herbs for Children, Natural Pregnancy, and Energy. Table tennis, anyone?
The Martha’s Vineyard Table Tennis group has recently started meeting at the YMCA of M.V., in addition to their usual spot at the West Tisbury School. Secrets of Squibnocket
For those who enjoy a crisp, winter walk and exploring rarely seen property, The Trustees of Reservations has something for you. This Sunday, Feb. 26, at 1 pm, join TTOR at Squibnocket in Chilmark to hike through a privately-owned conservation restriction adjacent to the beach. The walk is approximately two hours, is $10 and free for members, and does not allow dogs. Pre-register at 508-693-7662.
Because next week is School Vacation Week, the Oak Bluffs Library has planned a few extra activities.
