The owners of Waterside Market, Susan and Stephen Bowen, and Off Main, Chuck and Annie Downing, neighboring businesses in Vineyard Haven, hosted an Open Mike Night at Waterside to benefit Kathy Ferland and the Ferland family of Edgartown last Thursday. Ms. Ferland has been battling cancer, and her daughter has worked at Waterside for three years.
Those who attended enjoyed refreshments, including homemade desserts made by chef Nick Wilson, and performances by talented Islanders, including Tristan Israel.
