Opera Sundays at the Capawock Theatre, Vineyard Haven

This Sunday, Feb. 27, the Capawock Theatre is showing Giuseppe Verdi's opera "La Traviata," at 1 pm. This version, from London's Royal Opera, stars Renée Fleming, an American soprano. Translating to "the woman gone astray," "La Traviata" tells the story of courtesan Violetta Valéry.
Admission is $20; $18 for seniors and students. Buzz Hall of the Capawock Theatre says the Sunday Operas will continue until at least March 20. Next Sunday, March 6, Mr. Hall has scheduled Georges Bizet's "Carmen."
