Vineyard defeats Norwell, advances in tourney play
The Martha's Vineyard Regional High School boys varsity basketball team defeated Norwell in front of a raucous hometeam crowd Wednesday night.
The teams were closely matched throughout but when it mattered the Islanders put the pedal to the metal and outdistanced Norwell by six points to end the game 76 to 70.
The Vineyard squad advances to the quarter finals Friday night with a 5:15 pm game against Wareham in the Sancy Pachico Gym.
