Main streets and towns in general are beginning to awake from winter hibernation, and there are new stores opening their doors, one being the SEA Spa Salon.
Located in the Colonial Inn on North Water Street in Edgartown, the SEA Spa is carving out a new niche. Owner and operator Salissa King has14 years of stylist experience and lots of creativity to inspire new do’s that are designed to “be worn naturally to the shape of the clients’ natural texture of the hair.”
One technique is to change hair texture with a Keratin smoothing straightener or permanent wave treatment. The salon uses the Davines line.
Another added service is a weekly visit from Smilebright teeth whitening system specialist Sonja Browne.
The salon focuses on the use of organic, eco-friendly products. Ms. King said the goal is to protect guests and the environment at the same time.
The salon offers customized hair, nail, face, and body treatments, wedding packages, along with retreats for fitness and yoga.
SEA Spa Salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm (evening hours available by appointment). During the summer, Sunday and Monday services will also be available by appointment. For more information: seaspasalonmv.com; 508-62-STYLE (508-627-8953).
