The second annual Promising Young Poets of Martha’s Vineyard have been named, and all will read their poems this coming Wednesday, April 6, at 4 pm, at Featherstone Center for the Arts in Oak Bluffs.

Sponsored by the Poet Laureate of West Tisbury, Martha’s Vineyard Writers Residency, Pathways Projects Institutes, and Featherstone, the winners this year are Jess Dupon of the M.V. Public Charter School (MVPCS), and Lizzie Kelleher, Claudia Taylor, and Jordan Wallace, all of the M.V. Regional High School (MVRHS). Runners-up are Truda Silberstein of MVRHS and Oscar Thompson of MVPCS.

The following day at Featherstone, Jess unveils her art show, Puzzle Pieces, at an opening reception from 4 to 6 pm. The exhibit features Jess’s poetry turned into visual works of art. The show is hung through April 10.
