To the Editor:
The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was read The Times and wow, what a great article! The kids and the cranes are a hit ("1,000 origami cranes — a warm wish to Japanese"). Your accuracy to the facts and compassion to the mission is clearly evident, and I'm so grateful to you, Perry, and to Doug Cabral, Peter Oberfest, Ralph Stewart, and most of all Nelson Sigelmen, for making this humanitarian gesture a reality. Kudos to you all, and we already have more than 100 paper cranes.
