Martha’s Vineyard Regional hosts Green Careers Day

A Green Careers Day on Tuesday at Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School featured a panel of professionals in energy related careers. They talked with about 50 juniors and seniors about their jobs, how they got them, and how to enter their fields .

The panelists included Barbara Dougan, education specialist, National Parks Service; Micaelah Morrill, legislative director for state Sen. Dan Wolf; Nicole Price, commercial/industrial efficiency, Cape Light Compact; Khepe-ra Maat-Het-Heru, community engagement consultant, Marion Institute; Kalia Lydgate, director, New Bedford Green Job, Green Economy Initiative, Marion Institute; and Paul Pimental, chairman of Vineyard Power.

Kara Gelinas was the event organizer for the Vineyard Energy Project.
