Martha's Vineyard gas prices are among the highest in nation
Gas prices in Massachusetts rose another 16 cents per gallon last week and are now averaging $3.82 per gallon, according to the latest survey by AAA Southern New England.
AAA found prices ranging from a low of $3.73 to a high of $4.09 per gallon, the State House News Service reported Monday.
Martha's Vineyard motorists might consider $4.09 to be a bargain. For example, on Monday regular gas at the Shell station in Vineyard Haven sold for $4.60. Several hundred yards down Beach Road regular gas sold for $4.35 a gallon at the Xtra Mart.
By Tuesday, the Shell price stood at $4.59 and the Citgo price had risen to $4.57.
