The Martha’s Vineyard boys’ lacrosse team beat the Bishop Feehan Shamrocks Tuesday afternoon on the Island’s rain-soaked Dan McCarthy field at the Regional High School, 6-4. The Shamrocks were previously unbeaten in the Eastern Athletic Conference.

Bishop Feehan scored first, halfway through the first quarter, but a goal by Marc Natichioni one minute later knotted the score. Nick Costello’s score put the Vineyard ahead, 2-1.

Both teams scored in the second period. Leif Iversen did the deed for the Vineyard.

At the half, Martha’s Vineyard was up, 3-2.

In the third period, goals by Natichioni and Denver Maciel more than matched the Shamrock’s scoring effort, increasing the Vineyard’s advantage to 5-3. Nick Costello’s second goal matched the Shamrock’s in the final period.
