Oak Bluffs Library friends wants old books in good condition

The Library Friends of Oak Bluffs will hold the first of  three drop-off days to collect used books in preparation for the organization's annual book sale in July.

The first drop-off day is Saturday, May 28 on Memorial Day weekend from 12 to 3 pm at the Oak Bluffs Public Library, School Street, next to the Oak Bluffs Town Hall.

The Friends has also scheduled drop off days on Saturday June 18, and Thursday July 7. The annual book sale is July 21-23.

Used books in good condition across all categories including hardcover and paperback are welcome, as are DVDs, CDs and audio books. "All book and media donations must be in good shape, clean, with no missing pages or covers, none with water, smoke, mold or mildew damage," according to a press release.

No condensed encyclopedias, phone books, or video tapes are wanted.
