Martha's Vineyard center fielder Crystal Miske makes a fine running grab in the fourth inning against Bishop Feehan, Tuesday.

With three games remaining, as of Tuesday, two versus Feehan and one with Chatham, the MVRHS girls softball team needed at least one victory to qualify for postseason play.

Wednesday, they got the needed win, 19-3, at Chatham.

The team lost to Falmouth on the Clippers' home turf, May 19, 8-4, despite Jillian Sedlier's 4-for-4 performance at the plate.

On May 21, hurler Emily Cimeno allowed just four hits in the Vineyard shutout victory over Sturgis, 10-0.  Emily supported her hurling efforts by going 3-for-3 at the plate including a double and a RBI. Emma Forbes also was perfect 3-for-3 at the plate.

Monday, on home turf, Vineyard bats drove in 14 runs, three on a home run by Alicia Oliveira. Emily and Sarah Williston and Molly Ciciora all had three hits.
