Martha’s Vineyard high school baseball team ended the season May 26, with some of the best play of the year, and defeated Norfolk Aggie at Walpole, 10-1, behind Will Stewart, who went the distance.

It was Stewart’s fourth win of the season. He allowed one earned run on seven hits and fanned six. Corey Perrotta spent the afternoon running the base paths, reaching five times and scoring four runs.

The Islanders finished the season with a 6-14 record. Seven of the 14 losses were might-have-beens, decided by a single run.
