SSA launces smart phone ap
The Steamship Authority (SSA) announced a new mobile website developed for use with smartphones that include the iPhone, Android, and Blackberry. Boatline customers are now able to go to SteamshipAuthority.com from their smartphones to check on ferry arrivals and departures, view ferry cancellations and alerts, check parking information, and get directions to SSA parking lots and terminals, according to a press release.
"At the Steamship Authority, we are constantly looking at ways to enhance our customers' overall experience. The new mobile website will provide access to useful ferry information for passengers traveling to or from Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket," Wayne Lamson, SSA general manager, said.
