West Tisbury tops Tisbury for interscholastic baseball title

Tim Roberts of West Tisbury pitched a complete game shutout in the title game.

Tim Roberts tossed a shutout at the Tisbury Tigers and his West Tisbury teammates scored twice in the first inning and four more times in the fifth, for a 6-0 win.
Roberts finished with 10 strikeouts. Tisbury's Mike Mussell fanned nine. Roberts had the advantage of strong backup in the field.
The West Tisbury boys baseball team made it to the finals by running away from Edgartown, 22-3, while Tisbury was dropping OB, 10-1.
Meanwhile Tisbury edged Edgartown 3-2, then dropped Oak Bluffs 10-1, behind Mike Mussell's no-hit pitching. Mussell struck out 13 Blazers. Grant Santos and Serogia Berner homered for the Hawks.
