Halisky is singles champion

Michael Halisky, head pro of Vineyard Youth Tennis, added luster to his top ranking in New England.
Michael Halisky, head tennis pro at Vineyard Youth Tennis, won the Longshore 35 Singles championship at Westport, Connecticut last weekend. Halisky had the top seed and fulfilled all expectations, winning three rounds to reach the finals where he beat Bjorn Laver, 7-6, 6-2.
The win should solidify Halisky's rank as number one in New England, according to Scott Smith, VYT Executive Director.
