A summer preview of arts and culture brought the Vineyard's creative minds together to showcase upcoming events.

On Tuesday, Martha's Vineyard Arts and Culture Collaborative invited not only artists, but also hotel and restaurant staff to this free event at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury. The goal was to promote the Vineyard as a year-round arts destination.

Using the funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC), the Collaborative began meeting a few months ago to plan this introductory event. Ann Smith, the coordinating committee chairman, said the collaborative hopes to host more events in the future, to reveal hidden Island talents.

The MCC awarded the Collaborative $5,000 through the Adams Arts Program.
