Gas prices fall around New England, less so on Martha's Vineyard
Gas prices have fallen 23 cents per gallon from the average high of $3.94 recorded six weeks ago, according to AAA Southern New England.
Prices fell five cents a gallon this week, to an average of $3.71 per gallon, the organization announced Monday morning. The average price a year ago was exactly one dollar per gallon lower, or $2.71.
A gallon of gas on Martha's Vineyard cost approximately $4.50 on Monday.
