Maine man injured in Oak Bluffs moped accident
A Maine man who has worked in Vineyard restaurants the past three summers was airlifted to a Boston hospital, after a moped accident early Saturday morning.
Casey Eason, 29, of St. David, Maine, was transported to the Martha's Vineyard Hospital by ambulance and later flown by MedFlight to Boston.
Police got a call shortly before 6 am Saturday, reporting a moped driver crashed into a tree off Barnes Road.
Police said there was no indication at the scene that any other vehicle was involved and no indication of what caused the accident. They are still investigating.
