Vineyard Youth Tennis (VYT) announces that six Island youngsters have been chosen to receive a scholarship to an off-Island, one week, Adidas Tennis Camp: Lizzie Williamson, Connor Downing, Kiric Hallahan, Oliver Carson, Ryan Sawyer, and Sean McAndrews.

All the young players had to write a one-page essay stating their reasons for playing the game and their goals.

VYT also announces that it will host a Quick Start Training seminar with certified trainer Joe Arias on Wednesday, June 30 from 1 to 4 pm. The seminar is open to tennis professionals, teachers, and parents. Quick Start is the new tennis format endorsed by the USTA that encourages children to play with smaller racquets, on smaller courts, with smaller nets.
