Edgartown Police sponsor public safety day
The Edgartown Police in association with the Edgartown Fire Department will host a free public safety day from 10 am to 4 pm, Saturday, June 25, on the grounds of the Edgartown School. Parents and children are invited to join in the fun.
There will be a Kids bike rodeo from 10 am to noon. Children will have an opportunity to learn important safety lessons, practice their riding skills and enter a raffle for a free bike. Police remind children to bring their helmets.
There will be a free cookout from noon to 1 pm for all participants.
Police will provide a free car seat check from 1 to 4 pm to insure it meets all current safety requirements.
