The Martha's Vineyard school year ended Tuesday. Bells rang, and students, ready, willing, and anxious to embrace summer vacation, smiled, whooped and bounced on their way out of school doors. There were hugs and fond farewells from teachers, who waved goodbye to their students wearing equally big grins.
A perfect sunny summer day awaited everyone.
