Lori Camille Parker-Lockridge, 43, died on June 6, 2011 with her family by her side in Ft. Myers, Florida.
Lori was born January 21, 1968, in Fairfax, Va., to Robert S. Parker Jr. and Gail V. Sanders.
She graduated from Madison County High School in 1986. She attended college at the University of Massachusetts where she was graduated with highest honors. She later earned a Masters degree in psychology and education from Tufts University.
Lori enjoyed working with children, gardening, reading, and volunteering at local animal shelters.
She lived and worked on Martha’s Vineyard for much of the 1990s.
Her bright spirit and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Blair Scott Lockridge of Knoxville, Tenn., her mother, Gail Sanders, and stepfather, Cary Sanders, of Madison, Va., her father, Robert S. Parker Jr., and stepmother, Pamela Parker, of Sedona, Ariz., her maternal grandmother, Marcella Hanson, of Rehoboth Beach, Del., her sisters Kris (Parker) Long of Suffolk, Va.,and Amanda (Sanders) Frazier of Waynesboro, Va., nieces Madelyn and Kyla Frazier and nephew Zachary Frazier of Waynesboro, Va.
