By any other name
To the Editor,
In the June 30 issue of The Martha's Vineyard Times, about the "Raising the Roof" affordable housing concert, "Fund Raising Strikes a Chord," I was quoted saying that there is no longer an Island Affordable Housing Fund. My statement needs to be clarified.
What I had intended to say is that the Island Affordable Housing Fund no longer exists in name. The name of the organization is now the Martha's Vineyard Housing Fund. It is alive and well, under the leadership of executive director Ewell Hopkins and works to increase the supply of year-round housing options on Martha's Vineyard.
The Martha's Vineyard Housing Fund is an active and important part of the Island's affordable housing community.
