The threat of rain may have delayed the celebration by a day, but the energy and the excitement of postponed Tisbury Street Fair on Saturday didn’t disappoint.

With kids running around with cotton candy in their hands and adults standing in long lines for carnival favorites, such as fried dough, Main Street in Vineyard Haven transformed into a packed festival.

This 40th annual celebration began in 1971 to commemorate Tisbury’s first 300 years as a town.
